Mobile Solutions - Part 1: Single Axle Trailers
3/20/2007 | Jeffrey Burros

In June of 2000, Alkota Cleaning Systems, Inc. (Alkota) purchased California-based All American Cleaning Systems (All American). This acquisition expanded our distribution network for quality cleaning equipment throughout the Southwest and eventually the entire United States and export markets. The acquisition also introduced a fantastic trailer package into the Alkota product offering.

Since that time, hundreds of Alkota, All American, and now Whitco Cleaning Systems (Whitco) customers have realized the superior quality and capabilities of our trailer packages and other mobile cleaning solutions. We have expanded our trailer lines to include a great mix of standard models with useful options. In addition, we have built many custom trailer systems for specific applications and industries. Contract cleaners, state and local governments, even military organizations recognize that our mobile products are highly engineered to meet the diverse and demanding needs of mobile users.

Over the next several weeks we will be posting a series of online articles to highlight our standard and custom trailer capabilities. Although we will not feature every unique trailer we have built so far, many great designs and applications will be showcased. We trust you will be impressed by the capabilities of our engineering and fabrication teams. We also think you will learn a great deal about our strength as a provider of high quality mobile cleaning solution.

To kick off this article series, I want to introduce our line of standard trailers by providing details on our three smallest units. Each is D.O.T. approved, constructed with heavy tubular steel frames, and powder coated for a durable finish. They have numerous features designed to support your mobile cleaning needs, and all three are great looking packages.

DETAIL TRAILER

Originally designed to meet the needs of automotive detailing teams, this trailer is the smallest standard unit we offer. The Detail Trailer is engineered to carry a cold pressure washer, a single water tank, and related hose reels and tools. You have the choice of adding a custom cleaning system or one of our Mobile Wash Systems depending on your needs.

PALLET TRAILER

As the newest addition to our standard line of trailers, this unit is designed to fit on a pallet for ease of shipping. The wheels and jack with coupler are removed and attached to the pallet, which can be handled with a standard forklift. Though compact and easy to ship, the unit can carry a decent sized hot water washer for significant cleaning power on the go.

This trailer was introduced in 2006 and has been well received as it offers a nice package for portable hot water cleaning with a greatly reduced freight cost.

The single axle models presented in this article are excellent trailers at the smaller end of our standard line. Next week we will highlight our tandem axle units which bring increased capacity to mobile cleaning operations. Then we will show you some impressive custom projects that we have enjoyed working on the past few years. Please join us again for the next article in this series and stop by your local Alkota, All American, or Whitco dealer to discuss how a quality mobile cleaning solution can be incorporated into your business.
